Basketball Recap: Oconee County Comes Up Short

Oconee County lost against East Hall on January 3rd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Oconee County Warriors lost 71-46 to the East Hall Vikings. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-16.

Despite the loss, Oconee County still got an impressive performance from Bo Hogan, who posted 13 points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Bolding, who had seven points.

Oconee County has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for East Hall, their victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-3.

Oconee County will venture away from home to square off against Jefferson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Jefferson's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight games. As for East Hall, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 89-62 win against White County on the 25th.
