Baseball Recap: Bishop Leblond Wins Going Away Against Falls City

Bishop LeBlond barely beat Falls City the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 8-1 victory on Monday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by seven runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Christian Anderson, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with six RBI and two doubles. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. Chase Kissel was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Bishop LeBlond and bumps their season record up to 9-9. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Falls City, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-13.

Bishop LeBlond has already played their next contest (against Trenton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Falls City, they will head out on the road to square off against Omaha South at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
