Basketball Game Preview: Brookings Bobcats vs. Spearfish Spartans

The Brookings Bobcats will take on the Spearfish Spartans at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Brookings has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Having struggled with 19 defeats in a row dating back to last season, Brookings turned things around against Douglas on Friday. They walked away with a 66-56 victory over the Patriots. The Bobcats' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Spearfish has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 48-42 heartbreaker at the hands of Yankton.

Spearfish's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Brookings, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-18.
