Baseball Recap: Firebaugh Comes Up Short

Firebaugh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Torres Toros. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Toros from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Firebaugh's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Torres, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-12 record this season.

Firebaugh has already played their next match, a 14-0 loss against Chavez on the 15th. As for Torres, they will square off against Sierra at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday. The Toros' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chieftains have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
