Softball Recap: West Vigo Vikings vs. South Vermillion Wildcats
West Vigo entered their tilt with South Vermillion with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 9-5 win over the South Vermillion Wildcats on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for West Vigo, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Piper Beeler was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Arina Elkins, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
On South Vermillion's side, Addyson Smith made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. Kenley Minor was another key contributor, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with a stolen base and an RBI.
