Baseball Recap: Franklin Regional Comes Up Short

Franklin Regional lost against Plum on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Panthers took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Franklin Regional saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Mitchell, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Franklin Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Plum, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin Regional will host Penn-Trafford at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Plum, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gateway at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
