Baseball Recap: Davie Wins Going Away Against Mount Tabor

Davie won the last time they faced Mount Tabor and things went their way on Tuesday too. Davie was the clear victor by a 16-2 margin over Mount Tabor.

Tucker Hobbs tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits.

At the plate, Logan Allen was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Coy James, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Davie always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .647. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mount Tabor only posted an OBP of .364.

Davie's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Mount Tabor, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Davie will have a chance to go back-to-back against Mount Tabor: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
