Softball Game Preview: North Central Knights vs. Chesnee Eagles

The North Central Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Chesnee Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. North Central will be strutting in after a victory while Chesnee will be coming in after a loss.

North Central took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over McBee. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Knights considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

The team relied heavily on Lillian Hope Alexandria Bell, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2025. Easley Williams also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, after a string of seven wins, Chesnee's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They came up short against Crescent, falling 14-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Eagles have suffered since March 14th.

North Central pushed their record up to 18-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Chesnee, their loss dropped their record down to 17-7.
