Basketball Game Preview: Ooltewah Owls vs. East Hamilton Hurricanes

Ooltewah is 0-10 against East Hamilton since January of 2018 but things could change on Thursday. The Ooltewah Owls will host the East Hamilton Hurricanes at 6:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Ooltewah is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top against Hixson by a score of 60-49 on Monday.

Meanwhile, East Hamilton came tearing into Tuesday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.6 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Pioneers 67-46. The Hurricanes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 21 points or more this season.

East Hamilton's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27 points. As for Ooltewah, their victory bumped their record up to 3-11.

Ooltewah was dealt a bruising 74-34 loss at the hands of East Hamilton in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Ooltewah was down 45-24.
