Basketball Game Preview: Weskan Coyotes vs. Rawlins County Buffaloes

The Weskan Coyotes are taking a road trip to square off against the Rawlins County Buffaloes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Weskan's tournament run continued when they took on Western Plains on Tuesday. Weskan received a blow as they fell 56-38 to Western Plains.

Meanwhile, Rawlins County waltzed into their game on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They claimed a resounding 48-19 victory over the Ringnecks. The Buffaloes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 28 points or more this season.

Weskan better keep an eye on Camden Franklin. She was instrumental in Rawlins County's win, going 7 of 13 on her way to 19 points in addition to seven boards and seven steals. Franklin is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 14 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayte Shively, who posted eight points along with 11 rebounds and four steals.

Rawlins County pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points over those games. As for Weskan, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.

Weskan came up short against Rawlins County in their previous matchup back in December of 2015, falling 43-39. Can Weskan avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
