Softball Recap: Needles Comes Up Short

Needles's tournament run continued when they took on Southeast Career Tech on Friday. The Mustangs took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Roadrunners. That's two games in a row now that the Mustangs have lost by exactly three runs.

Needles' loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Southeast Career Tech, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Needles will face off against Palo Verde Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Yellow Jackets' pitching crew has only allowed 1.5 runs per game this season, so the Mustangs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Southeast Career Tech, they will be taking part in a tournament against Yuma Catholic at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Roadrunners' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Shamrocks have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
