Baseball Recap: Four Straight Home Wins for Cincinnati Country Day

Cincinnati Country Day won the last time they faced Carlisle and things went their way on Monday too. The Nighthawks came out on top against the Indians by a score of 6-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Nighthawks.

Casey Newman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on six hits.

At the plate, Elijah Guttman was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Patrick Ramage was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Cincinnati Country Day's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-10. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Carlisle, the defeat snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 12-9 record.

Coming up, Cincinnati Country Day will take on St. Bernard-Elmwood Place in a tournament on Wednesday. The Nighthawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Titans have averaged an impressive 10.3 runs per game this season. Carlisle does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
