Softball Recap: South Sumter Raiders vs. Trinity Catholic Celtics

It was a good run, but South Sumter unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Trinity Catholic Celtics by a score of 7-5. South Sumter was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Trinity Catholic apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

Garcia is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stolen at least one in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Taliyah Mullins, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

On Trinity Catholic's side, Emma Simms was incredible, going 2-for-3 with a home run and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Emma Kaylor, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

As for Trinity Catholic, they will head out on the road to face off against Taylor at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Trinity Catholic's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Taylor's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
