Preview: Roosevelt Mustangs vs. Carter Cowboys
Roosevelt is 0-10 against the Cowboys since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Roosevelt Mustangs are on the road again and plays the Carter Cowboys at 6:30 p.m. on February 2nd.
Last Friday, Roosevelt lost to the Eagles on the road by a decisive 50-35 margin.
Meanwhile, Carter scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Pinkston 64-40. Carter has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 24 points or more this season.
Tyari Ray continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 33 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Miracle Thomas was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Roosevelt has been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 15 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-19 record this season. As for Carter, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-8.
Roosevelt was taken down by the Cowboys 52-19 in their previous matchup back in January. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Roosevelt was down 29-6.
