Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lufkin). They never let the Nacogdoches Dragons get on the board and left with a 20-0 victory on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Lufkin's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Nacogdoches, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Lufkin Panthers take on Hallsville Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Nacogdoches, they are taking a road trip to square off against Whitehouse at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Whitehouse is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.5 runs per game this season.
