Baseball Game Preview: Cactus Shadows Falcons vs. Saguaro Sabercats

For the second straight game, Cactus Shadows will face off against Saguaro. The Falcons will square off against the Sabercats at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Cactus Shadows is on an eight-game streak of home wins, Saguaro a four-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.

Cactus Shadows is headed into the match having just posted their closest victory since March 15th on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over Saguaro. The game was the first time the Falcons have beaten the Sabercats on their field since April 17, 2018.

Dallas Dunn looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Henry Verhamme and Owen Konerko did most of the damage at the plate: Verhamme scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Konerko went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one triple. Another player making a difference was Keyen Marquez, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Cactus Shadows was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Saguaro only posted a batting average of .259.
