Baseball Recap: Western International Finishes Even with Mattawan

The Western International Cowboys and the Mattawan Wildcats finished up their match with a 2-2 tie on Saturday.

Daniel Crosby spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up 14 Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

With that draw, Western International's record moves to 14-5-2. Meanwhile, Mattawan's record is now 14-3-4.

Coincidentally, Western International and Mattawan will both be playing Franklin the next time they take the field. The Wildcats will head out to face the Patriots at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Cowboys will play them later in the day, at 12:30 p.m.
