Basketball Recap: Bishop Dunne Drops Highest Score of Season Against Regents

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bishop Dunne). They were the clear victor by a 77-52 margin over the Regents Knights on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 58-48 two weeks ago.

Bishop Dunne's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Johnny Green led the charge by dropping a double-double with 23 points and 11 rebounds. Green's afternoon made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Kei Scott, who went 9 for 14 on his way to 24 points.

Bishop Dunne was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Bishop Dunne has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-17 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.9 points over those games. As for Regents, they dropped their record down to 11-16 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Bishop Dunne wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 49-40 win against Brook Hill on the 7th. Regents does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
