Softball Recap: Kingston Comes Up Short

Kingston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the West County Bulldogs, falling 17-2. Having soared to a lofty 22 runs in the game before, the Cougars couldn't push the score so high this time.

Kingston's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for West County, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.

Kingston will face off against Bourbon at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will need to watch out since the War Hawks have now posted at least ten runs in their last four contests. As for West County, they will head out to face off against Mt. Vernon at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mountaineers have averaged an impressive 8.9 runs per game this season.
