Soccer Game Preview: Cartersville vs. Dalton

The Cartersville Hurricanes will challenge the Dalton Catamounts at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Cartersville turned things around against Cass on Friday. They never let the Colonels get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Hurricanes needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

They hit Cass with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kiley McMichael (2), Scout Hullander (2), and Annabelle Williams.

Meanwhile, Dalton waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 6-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Catamounts, who have now won three games by four goals or more so far this season.

Dalton's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Cartersville, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Cartersville suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Dalton when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Cartersville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
