 Sherman Oaks CES and Sotomayor squared off in some playoff action  on Thursday, but Sherman Oaks CES had to settle for second. They lost  16-6 to the Sotomayor Wolves. Sherman Oaks CES's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
 Sherman Oaks CES saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Colin Hauser, who  went 1-for-2 with two  stolen bases and  an  RBI. Hauser has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in six consecutive pitching appearances.  Matthew Perez was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in two of his three plate appearances.
 On Sotomayor's side,  the team  relied heavily on  Francisco Vasquez, who  went 2-for-4 with a  triple.
 Sherman Oaks CES's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7-1. As for Sotomayor, the  win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 15-2.
 Sherman Oaks CES does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sotomayor, they are on the road again  on Saturday to play Port of Los Angeles at 3:00  p.m. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average, (Port of Los Angeles: 3.4, Sotomayor: 2.9) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
