Basketball Recap: Jaacob Pacia's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mira Loma over Westlake Charter

Mira Loma lost against Westlake Charter back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Matadors fell 73-69 to the Explorers.

Mira Loma's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaacob Pacia, who shot 90% from the field to rack up 21 points and eight rebounds. Danny Deenjalba was another key player, going 8-for-15 en route to 23 points.

Mira Loma's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Westlake Charter, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Mira Loma won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lindhurst at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Westlake Charter, they will square off against Nevada Union at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
