Parkland had to endure an eight-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They enjoyed a cozy 41-24 victory over the Horizon Scorpions on Tuesday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 46-21 back in December of 2024.

Parkland got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Rachel Silva out in front who posted nine points in addition to five assists and five boards. What's more, Silva also racked up four steals, the most she's had since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Hazel Gutierrez, who scored nine points and six rebounds.
Silva wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Parkland was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Horizon only posted one assist.
Parkland's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-16. As for Horizon, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-15.
Coincidentally, both will both be playing Hanks the next time they take the court. Horizon will host Hanks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Parkland will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on January 21st.
