Softball Recap: Ferris Comes Up Short

Ferris was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Mead Panthers, falling 11-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-13 two weeks ago.

Donyelle Strauss made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Ferris' defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Mead, they pushed their record up to 14-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Ferris will challenge rival Cheney at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mead is set to take on their familiar foe Lewis & Clark at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
