Soccer Recap: Skyline Takes a Loss

Skyline came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 5-1 to the Mount Si Wildcats. While losing is never fun, Skyline can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while Mount Si are ranked 20th).

Skyline's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Mount Si, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Skyline is set to face off against their familiar foe Bothell/Inglemoor at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mount Si will challenge rival Eastlake at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
