Basketball Game Preview: Jefferson Forest Cavaliers vs. Liberty Christian Bulldogs

Jefferson Forest hasn't had much luck against Liberty Christian recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Jefferson Forest Cavaliers will head out to take on the Liberty Christian Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m.

Jefferson Forest is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest defeat since February 13, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against Salem, falling 53-28. The match marked the Cavaliers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Liberty Christian made easy work of Brookville on Friday and carried off a 52-30 victory. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 81st, while the Bees are ranked 331st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jefferson Forest's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-5. As for Liberty Christian, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.

Jefferson Forest was dealt a bruising 78-42 defeat at the hands of Liberty Christian when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Jefferson Forest avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
