Baseball Game Preview: Jersey Panthers vs. Triad Knights

Jersey is 1-9 against Triad since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Panthers will host the Knights at 1:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Jersey took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They never let Granite City get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Triad came out on top against Rochester on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run seventh inning. The Knights walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Rockets.

Triad is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Jersey, their victory bumped their record up to 15-16.
