Sachse is 8-2 against Lakeview Centennial since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Sachse Mustangs will host the Lakeview Centennial Patriots at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Sachse has four straight victories, Lakeview Centennial has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Saturday, Sachse didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Wylie, but they still walked away with a 64-59 win. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Mustangs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 412th, while the Pirates are ranked 118th).

Sachse's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Austin Young led the charge by putting up 12 points along with seven boards and five assists. Brayden Banks was another key player, going 5 of 6 on his way to 14 points and eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, Lakeview Centennial ended up a good deal behind North Garland on Saturday and lost 67-52.

Sachse has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for Lakeview Centennial, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-15.

Sachse was able to grind out a solid win over Lakeview Centennial in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 75-65. Does Sachse have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lakeview Centennial turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
