Kennedy is 8-2 against San Fernando since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Cougars will challenge the Tigers at 11:00 a.m.

Kennedy fell victim to Banning and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 10-0 to the Pilots. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for San Fernando, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They blew past Marshall 10-4 on Tuesday.

Ramon Amezcua was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Matthew Carlos was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

San Fernando was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. The last time their batting average was this high was back in May of 2024.

San Fernando is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Kennedy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-15.

Kennedy skirted past San Fernando 6-5 in their previous meeting on Monday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
