Volleyball Game Preview: Chicago Academy Cougars vs. Intrinsic Mustangs

The Chicago Academy Cougars will square off against the Intrinsic Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Chicago Academy is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.

It was a proper cat-fight when Chicago Academy challenged Alcott on Wednesday. The Cougars took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Intrinsic didn't have quite enough to beat Collins on Wednesday and fell 2-1. While the Mustangs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Warriors 25-19 in the first set.

Intrinsic started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-22, 25-21.

Chicago Academy will have to contain Ethan Miranda as he made an impact in Intrinsic's last game. He had 42 digs and 11 aces. With that strong performance, Miranda is now averaging an impressive 10.8 digs per game.

Chicago Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Intrinsic, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
