Baseball Recap: West Oso Bears vs. Rockport-Fulton Pirates
After flying high against King last Tuesday, West Oso came back down to earth. The West Oso Bears fell just short of the Rockport-Fulton Pirates by a score of 9-8 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-2 back in February.
Isaiah Galvan made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
West Oso dropped their record down to 7-4 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Rockport-Fulton, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5-1.
Looking ahead, West Oso will square off against Taft at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. West Oso is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season. As for Rockport-Fulton, they will head out to challenge Jones at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Rockport-Fulton has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
