Softball Recap: Twin Rivers' Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Twin Rivers entered their tilt with Campbell on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Camels 19-4. Considering the Royals have won six contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Reese Crismon was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off two hits. Crismon was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Addysen Whitlow, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Layla Tompkins was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Twin Rivers pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Campbell, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Coming up, Twin Rivers will look to defend their home field on Friday against Puxico at 4:30 p.m. As for Campbell, they will face off against Malden at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
