Basketball Recap: Indianapolis Homeschool Wildcats' Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats won the last time they faced Phalen Leadership Academy and things went their way on Friday too. Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats came out on top against the Phalen Leadership Academy Falcon by a score of 67-60. Given Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 113th, while Phalen Leadership Academy is ranked 245th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Phalen Leadership Academy still got an impressive performance from Drelan Vaden, who went 7 of 14 on his way to 19 points and eight rebounds. The game was Vaden's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Raymond Haggard, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 11 points.

With the win, Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-6. As for Phalen Leadership Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.

Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats will face off against Columbus HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on January 10th. As for Phalen Leadership Academy, they will square off against Centerville at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Phalen Leadership Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 67 points per game this season.
