Basketball Game Preview: Rosedale Christian Academy Rosedale Panthers vs. Mount Zion Christian Academy Mighty Warriors

Having just played yesterday, the Rosedale Christian Academy Rosedale Panthers will jump right back in to play the Mount Zion Christian Academy Mighty Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Friday, Rosedale Christian Academy ended up a good deal behind Corvian Community and lost 82-64. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (61), the Rosedale Panthers still had to take the loss.

Despite their defeat, Rosedale Christian Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Keyon Williams, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Williams has been hot, having posted nine or more boards the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jai'Saun Williams, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 21 points.

Meanwhile, Mount Zion Christian Academy came up short against George Washington last Thursday and fell 76-63. While losing is never fun, the Mighty Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 183rd in North Carolina, while the Eagles are ranked 11th in Virginia).

Mount Zion Christian Academy's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Rosedale Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14.
