Basketball Recap: Wednesday's Victory Is Judge Memorial Catholic's Fourth in Last Five Outings

Judge Memorial Catholic won the last time they faced Providence Hall, and Majak Deng did his part to make sure it happened again. The Judge Memorial Catholic Bulldogs took their matchup on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 71-42 win over the Providence Hall Patriots thanks in part to Deng, who dropped a double-double on 34 points and 11 boards. Those 11 rebounds gave him a new career-high.

Another player making a difference was Aymen Ismail, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played.

Several Patriots players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mckai Turner, who posted 21 points. Ryker Lancaster was another key player, putting up nine points and seven rebounds.

Judge Memorial Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 14-10 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 45.8 points. As for Providence Hall, they dropped their record down to 4-16 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Judge Memorial Catholic will head out to face off against American Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. American Heritage will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Judge Memorial Catholic surely won't give up without a fight.
