Basketball Recap: Saunders Trades & Tech Takes a Loss

Saunders Trades & Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Carmel Rams, falling 57-33. The Blue Devils were not able to make up for their loss to the Rams from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Carmel's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kylie Murphy led the charge by putting up 18 points in addition to seven assists and seven rebounds. The dominant performance gave Murphy a new career-high in assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Livulpi, who went 5 for 9 on her way to 10 points and three steals.

Saunders Trades & Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Carmel, their win bumped their record up to 5-12.

Coming up, Saunders Trades & Tech will head out to face off against Peekskill at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carmel, they will be playing at home against Arlington at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
