Softball Recap: Leyden Triumphs

Leyden saw some tournament action on Sunday. They walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Crystal Lake Central Tigers.

Ava Jamrozek was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaelyn Quinlan, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs.

Leyden's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Crystal Lake Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

Leyden will host Berwyn/Cicero Morton at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Crystal Lake Central, they will head out to take on Crystal Lake South at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
