Volleyball Recap: Cedar Park Comes Up Short

Cedar Park lost against Aledo back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Timberwolves fell 2-0 to the Bearcats.

When it comes to explaining why Cedar Park lost, don't look at Anna Kurz. Despite the final result, she had ten digs and one assist. Taylor Walters also deserves some recognition as she had her first kills of the season.

Aledo can attribute much of their success to Sophie Frank, who had 15 assists and six digs. Frank has been hot, having posted 12 or more assists the last six times she's played.

Cedar Park's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Aledo, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1.

Cedar Park wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Canyon on the 16th. As for Aledo, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 win against College Park on the 16th.
