Baseball Recap: Highland Hawks vs. Washington Patriots        
        
		
            
 In what's become a running theme this season, Highland gave their fans yet another huge  win on Monday. They never let the Washington Patriots onto the board and left with  an   11-0  victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Highland also won the last time the pair played  back in April of 2023.
  Stephen Christopher tossed a big game,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Kehler Hamilton was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and a  triple.  Joey Rogers was another key contributor,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 The  win  made it two in a row for Highland and  bumps their season record up to 10-3. As for Washington,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 7-7.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Highland will take on St. Stephen's & St. Agnes at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Washington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Musselman at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Musselman is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 7.1  runs per game this season.
