Cowan was handed a ten-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Union City Indians 8-6. This was payback for the Blackhawks, who suffered a 10-7 loss the last time these two teams met.

Cowan is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-8 record this season. As for Union City, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.

Coming up, Cowan will be playing in front of their home fans against Northeastern at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Union City will be paying especially close attention to the Blackhawks' contest: after the Blackhawks face off against the Knights, they'll take on Union City again at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
