At the plate, D.J. Johnson was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-2. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ramarion Wilson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Hattiesburg was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, West Jones came up short against West Lauderdale on Saturday and fell 6-1.

Hattiesburg now has a winning record of 4-3. As for West Jones, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Hattiesburg came up short against West Jones in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, falling 4-1. Can Hattiesburg avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
