Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pender). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the South Columbus Stallions 62-30. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Patriots considering their 23-point performance the contest before.

Maddison Francis was nothing short of spectacular: she dropped a double-double on 30 points and 21 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Kimora McAllister, who posted 16 points and three steals.

Several Stallions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Karys Townsend, who put up six points and three steals. Townsend has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. Trinity Strickland was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.

Pender's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for South Columbus, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Pender will square off against East Columbus at 6:00 p.m. on February 4th. South Columbus has already played their next matchup, a 49-23 loss against Whiteville on the 30th.
