Baseball Recap: Southwestern Heights Comes Up Short

Southwestern Heights has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.33 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They came up short against the Lakin Broncs, falling 11-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Broncs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-0 on Tuesday.

Southwestern Heights saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jason Banman, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Southwestern Heights and nudges their season record down to 4-2. As for Lakin, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Southwestern Heights will welcome Hugoton at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lakin, they will challenge Scott at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
