Softball Recap: Hobart's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak at Home

It may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Hobart ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Rensselaer Central Bombers, sneaking past 8-7.

Allie Snider looked comfortable as she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kylie Bulatovich, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Addisyn Johnson, who went 2-for-5 with two triples and one RBI.

Hobart kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive matchups.

Hobart's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-9. As for Rensselaer Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.

Hobart has already played their next contest, a 12-1 win against Benton Central on the 10th. As for Rensselaer Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 6-5 loss against Pioneer on the 10th.
