Basketball Recap: Goshen RedHawks vs. La Porte Slicers
Goshen won against Laporte on Saturday with 58 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. The Goshen RedHawks blew past the La Porte Slicers 58-20. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-10.
Ava Yordy had an outrageously good game as she went 10 for 18 en route to 21 points plus seven rebounds and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaelyn Marcum, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Goshen now has a winning record of 2-1.
Goshen didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 36-22 defeat against Lakeland on the 12th. As for La Porte, they will venture away from home to face off against Mishawaka at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. La Porte is no doubt hoping to put an end to a ten-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
