Basalt and Aspen are an even 4-4-2 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Longhorns will square off against the Skiers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Basalt is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.5 goals per game this season.

Basalt proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a goal and slipped past Colorado Rocky Mountain 2-1. The win continues a trend for Basalt in their matchups with Colorado Rocky Mountain: they've now won four in a row.

Macy Rowley and Ellysia Guillonta scored both of Basalt's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Aspen was forced to settle for a draw. They and Crested Butte finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw on Saturday.

Basalt's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. With that draw, Aspen's record moves to 1-2-1.
