Football Preview: Mt. Pleasant Tigers vs. East Hickman County Eagles        
        
		
             After each having a week off, the Mt. Pleasant Tigers and the East Hickman County Eagles will dust off their jerseys to  face off against  one another  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
 Mt. Pleasant will head into Friday's  match ready to turn things around: they lost a close one when they played  back in September but unfortunately for them the  defeat they were handed  last Friday was a bit more commanding. They were  outmatched by Donelson Christian Academy on the road  and fell  44-6. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  34-0.
 Meanwhile, East Hickman County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three last Friday. They had just enough and edged the Mustangs out  43-40.
 East Hickman County had a senior duo take command as  Matthew Sloan rushed for 192 yards and three touchdowns and  Dakota Ragsdale rushed for 114 yards and two touchdowns. Sloan's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his eighth straight game with at least 119  rushing yards dating back to last season.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, East Hickman County was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 416  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 157  rushing yards in nine consecutive  contests  dating back to last season.
 This is the second loss in a row for Mt. Pleasant and  nudges their season record down to 5-2. As for East Hickman County, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
 Everything came up roses for Mt. Pleasant against East Hickman County in their previous meeting  back in October of 2023, as the  squad secured  a  34-0 victory. Will Mt. Pleasant repeat their success,  or does  East Hickman County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
