Basketball Recap: Elijah Wilson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Prior Lake Christian over Rochester Area Homeschool

After flying high against Community Christian on Thursday, Prior Lake Christian came back down to earth. The Prior Lake Christian Royals fell 63-50 to Rochester Area HomeSchool on Friday. The Royals' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Prior Lake Christian's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elijah Wilson, who posted 27 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. Wilson continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Morgan, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten boards.

Prior Lake Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 24-12. As for Rochester Area HomeSchool, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Looking ahead, Prior Lake Christian won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Liberty Christian at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday. Prior Lake Christian will be up against Liberty Christian's rather soft defense (which has allowed 52.13 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Rochester Area HomeSchool does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
