Basketball Recap: Patterson Takes a Loss

Patterson came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They had to suffer through a 83-47 loss at the hands of the Mountain House Mustangs. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 737th, while the Mustangs are ranked 210th).

Mountain House was led to victory by Coldin Parker and Shamar Jones. Parker posted 20 points and six rebounds, while Jones scored 24 points. The contest was Jones' third in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Greatness Aiku, who put up 11 points.

Patterson has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-16 record this season. As for Mountain House, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-10.

Patterson has already played their next match, a 46-38 victory against Manteca on the 7th. As for Mountain House, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 74-48 win against Central Catholic on the 7th.
