Baseball Recap: Torres Comes Up Short

Torres was the 10-4 winner over Sotomayor when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Toros fell 7-2 to the Wolves on Monday.

Torres saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abraham Cardenas, who went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Torres' defeat dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Sotomayor, they pushed their record up to 10-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

While Torres had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
